Should I Read "Last Girl Ghosted" by Lisa Unger: A Review

Usually my criteria for reading a book is it has to be at least a 3.75 on goodreads (or a friend recommendation). This was neither of those things and I definitely steered myself wrong..... I think it may have been available on Libby and I was looking for something to listen to.
First off, this book was 13.5 hours long..... 400 page thriller and it felt every bit as long while I sludged through it on 2x speed. I don't know why I couldn't just DNF this but the first 20% was ok and you're like I have already listened to 4 hours of a book I don't want that to go to waste toward my reading goal that I have arbitrarily put on myself and no one cares if I hit.
Premise was interesting. Girl meets a guy on a dating app and they hit it off for three months and then he unexpectedly disappears. You think you are going to get a take on the woes of modern dating but no you get the most cracker jack crazy next 300 pages where the main character Wren does the most ridiculous things that no one would ever do. I am sorry but if I was convinced a guy I dated was a legitimate serial killer, I would not SPOILER SPOILER chase after him into the woods and sleep with him again and then keep his literal baby.
There was also the whole back story of Wren that added absolutely nothing but kept flashing back to her childhood living with her doomsday prepper Dad and all the trauma that came from that... also an interesting concept except it was not interesting.
Skip this one. I honestly wrote this review and now might change my star to 1 star.
If you want a better thriller, read "Look Closer" by David Ellis.
