April has arrived, and with it comes a fresh selection of books that are sure to captivate readers everywhere. This month, I am highlighting four titles that I personally am looking forward to grabbing! From engaging mysteries to inspiring personal stories, each book provides a unique perspective. Let’s explore the books waiting for us in April! Let me know if you have read any of them!
Vera Wong's Guide to Snooping (On a Dead Man)

First on my list is "Vera Wong's Guide to Snooping (On a Dead Man)" by Jesse Q. Sutanto. This charming mystery is a follow up to first Vera Wong novel... now I will be honest I didn't particularly LOVE the first one but I am excited to try out the next one as the premise sounds much more interesting! An influencer is found dead but everything that we know about him from his social media seems to have all been a lie? I eat stuff like this up about influencers and how they portray themselves online. I am definitely going to grab this one!
Great Big Beautiful Life

Next, we have "Great Big Beautiful Life" by Emily Henry. OK I don't know who is not excited about another Emily Henry book... I mean I have read everything she has published. If you have been living under a rock and haven't grabbed "People We Meet on Vacation" yet that is my favorite and where you should start with Emily IMO! Especially if you love When Harry Met Sally! As for her new one, it seems like we have a rivals to lovers trope! I am excited to see if she nails the good dialogue and stays away from miscommunication tropes (my least favorite trope!)
The Next Day

The third book, "The Next Day: Transitions, Change, and Moving Forward" is by Melinda French Gates. Now back in 2020, I read "The Moment of Lift" by Gates and absolutely loved it so when I saw she was releasing another book, I definitely added that immediately to my TBR. This book seems to be Gates reflecting on major milestones in her personal life and how to move forward through them. I am excited to read and learn a little more about Melinda!
Audition

Lastly, I am excited to pick up "Audition" by Katie Kitamura. I have never heard of this author but the premise intrigued me! Two people meet for lunch and it goes from there-- it seems as if the idea behind the book is that you get both sides of their narrative and it will show you how people view you might be different than you think. I am definitely interested and it's also only 208 pages so could read quickly!!
Your April Reading List
Whether you prefer a light-hearted mystery, an uplifting memoir, or a rom-com by your favortie author these titles offer something for everyone. Let me know if you grab any of them! Happy reading!
